New Novel: Sam

Savvy is proud to announce that Susan Larson's first novel, Sam (a pastoral), is now available in trade paperback and as an ebook.

Though technically a Young Adult novel, horse-lovers of all ages will identify with the young protagonist of this book.

Barry Award Nomination

Savvy Press Author Ellen Larsons short mystery, When the Apricots Bloom, published in Alfred Hitchock's Mystery Magazine (June-July 2010) has been short-listed for a Barry Award for Short Mystery Fiction.

We hope to made the story available as in ebook in the near future.


Tilchen Winner in New Mexico Book Awards

Savvy is proud to announce that Maida Tilchen's historical novel "Land Beyond Maps" won the 2009 New Mexico Book Awards: in the  "Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender category. The winner was announced on November 20, 2009.

"Land Beyond Maps" was also a Finalist in the the "Novel - Historical Fiction" category.

Tilchen says the following about her feat: "Being a Winner will help more bookstores, libraries, reviewers, and especially readers to find out about "Land Beyond Maps" and the wonderful real women such as Laura Gilpin, Betsy Forster and Erna Fergusson whose lives I portray in it."
